HAROLD L. GREENE

Grave marker for Harold L. Greene in West Hill Cemetery, Dalton (Whitfield county), Georgia.

Hold enlisted the Army at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, GA on 25 March 1943.

Pvt Greene was transferred to Company C, 508th PIR  but his arrival date is unknown.  He was transferred to service Company on 19 August 1944.

at some point in time he was returned to Company C and while with that unit he was wounded in action in Germany on 14 February 1945.

Pvt Greene was evacuated to a field hospital and returned to duty on 17 April 1945.

Harold was discharged on 17 April 1946.  His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations.
