| Marvin was the son of Eben C 
		Greening & Neva E Smelser.  He married Vida M Leake on 
		27 September 1947 and they had 3 children.  He was a WW II veteran of 
		the 82nd Airborne Div, in Europe for 27 months.  Marvin worked for

      Grave markers for Marvin E. Greening in Holy Rosary 
		Cemetery, Monroe City (Monroe county), Missouri. Marvin enlisted in the Army 
		on 4 De3ember 1942  On 23 July 1944 Pfc Greening 
		was transferred from the 82nd Airborne Division Headquarters to Hq/2nd, 
		508th PIR.  He was promoted to Tec/5 on 19 January 1945 and 
		transferred to Co F on 1 April 1945. His military decorations 
		include te Combat Infantryman Badge for action during campaign, 18 Dec 
		1944 to 20 Feb 1945. |
