ROBERT C. GUNDLACH

Robert Gundlach

   Robert C. Gundlach, 62, of 101st Street, died yesterday in his home.  A meat cutter the last three years for lee Williams Meats, he earlier owned the C. H. Gundlach & Sons Meat Market, Sandusky, OH for 40 years.

He was an army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Miriam; daughters, Mrs. Carol Erne and Mrs. Mary Lo Rogers, and brothers, Donald ad Lamont.  Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Jasin Mortuary, where the body will be after 6 tonight.

Grave marker for Robert C. Gundlach in Grave 1, Lot 46, Section 14,  Calvary Cemetery Toledo (Lucas county), Ohio.

Robert enlisted in the Army at Toledo, OH on 15 May 1943.

Pvt Gundlach was transferred from Field Force Replacement Depot No. 8  to Hq Hq, 508th PIR on 31 March 1944.

He was appointed to the rank of Pfc on 4 January 1945.  On 20 October 1945, Pfc Gundlach was transferred to the 504th PIR.

His military decorations include the Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for participation in the Normandy assault
