AMOS D. HARDGRAVE

Dies in Wyoming
   Amos Darrell Hardgrave, 29, who formerly lived in Sikeston before moving to Wyoming in 1940, died at his home in Superior, Wyo., about 1 a.m. last Sunday.
   Funeral services are to be today at 3 p.m. in the Morlev Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur C. Helton officiating. Burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery with Albritton Funeral Home in charge.
   Hardgrave was born March 28, 1924 at Clarksville, Ark., and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Robbie Hardgraves; five children, Amos Darrell, Jr., 9: Robert Lee, 5; George Leonard, 3; Carolyn Sue, 21 months and Donna Kay, 8 months. He is also survived by four brothers, Louis, Jerry and Billy of Superior, Wyo., and Leonard of Boston, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Chuck Sioan, of California and Mrs. Dale r’oster, of Superior, Wyo., his parents Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hardgraves. of Superior, Wyo., and his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. George L. Hardgrave of Clarksville, Ark.

Amos enlisted in the Army at Jefferson Barracks, MO on 16 March 1943 and was assigned to Hq 3rd, 508 PIR although the date of his arrival is unknown.

Pfc Hardgrave was listed as injured in action on 31 January 1945. Once recuperated, Hardgrave returned to the company but was transferred to the 17th Airborne Division on 28 May 1945. He was discharged on 8 November 1945.
