OLLIE S. HARRIS


Ollie S. Harris, 87, died on May 7, 2007, at Florida Baptist Retirement Center in Vero Beach.

He was born in Norfolk, Va., and lived in Fort Pierce for 12 years, coming from Clinton, Md.

He served in the Army during World War II with the 82nd Airborne, 508 Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Before retirement, he was a superintendent in the construction industry.

Survivors include his sons, Stephen Harris and Gary S. Harris, both of Clinton, Md., David W. Harris of Ashburn, Va., and Greg Harris of Fort Pierce; daughter, Patricia Harris of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Doris Hudgins of Inverness; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jessie Harris.

SERVICES: Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. May 17 at Grace Baptist Church, Vero Beach. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
