MURRAY L. HARVEY

Murray entered the Army on 14 July 1929 and was discharged on 4 June 1942 to accept a commission as a 2nd Lt. the following day.

Although his arrival  is not reflected in currently available records, Captain Harvey was a member, probably the commander of, Co G in Frankfurt, German, 1945.

On 10 September 1953, the Columbus Daily Enquirer, Columbus, GA, listed Lt. Col Harvey as the out-going commander 1st BN, 508th ARCT replaced by Major Robert A. Matthews

He also served in Korea and was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart,

Lt Col Harvey retired on 30 June 1961
