PAUL A. HASKETT

Grave marker for Paul A. Haskett in ther4 Chico Cemetery, Chico (Wise County), Texas

Paul Arthur Haskett was born July 4, 1922 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  He died May 31, 2004 in Decatur [TX] at the age of 81.

R. Haskett was a retired minister.  He married Mary Tharp on August 1, 1943 in York, South Carolina.  He served i the U.S. Army during WW-II.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chico and a former member of Parkview Christian Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Haskett of Chico; daughters Linda Ann Felder and husband Jimmy of Reydon, Oklahoma, Mary Faye Shuci and husband Richard of Palm Desert, California, Barbara Jean Barkley and husband Frank of Chico, and Teresa sue Brewer and husband Jimmy Don of Chickasha; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was June 3 at the First Baptist Church of Chico with Rev. Jessie Wilkins and Rev. Lynn Mowery officiating.  Interment was at the Chico Cemetery.  Pallbearers were G.A. Buckner. Scott burgess, Eugene Grooms, LeRoy Hand, Richard McLoud, Mike Thomas, Nobie Tucker, Bruce Wester and Clayto Wood.

CHICO -- Paul Haskett, 81, a retired minister, died Monday, May 31, 2004, in Decatur.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery.

Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Mary Haskett; daughters, Linda Ann Felder and husband, Jimmy, Mary Faye Shuct and husband, Richard, Barbara Joan Barkley and husband, Frank, and Teresa Sue Brewer and husband, Jimmy Don; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
