Power Shovel
EVERETT, Nov 6.---(AP) ---
Kenneth Henderson, 38, Port Angeles, was killed yesterday when he was
trapped beneath a power shovel at a logging project 10 miles southeast
of Skyhomish.
The Snohomish County sheriff's office said Henderson was employed by the
Priest Logging Co., which was moving logging equipment from the area.

Funeral services for Kenneth A. Henderson, 39, of
710 E. 4th St,, ill be
held at the Harper Funeral Home Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd
F. Holloway officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Angeles Cemetery.
Mr. Henderson, a logger employed by the Priest logging Co., was
killed in a logging accident near Monroe, Wash., last Sunday.
Mr. Henderson was born at Dungeness Feb.. 27, 1923 and lived in
Callam county much of his life. A veteran of World War II he served with
the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. For the past five years he
was employed by the Priest logging Co.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs.. Pauline Henderson, and
two step-sons, Larry and Gary Bradbury, all of Port Angeles; five
brothers, Harold and David Henderson, Chimacum, Robert and Terry
Henderson, Spokane, and Andy Henderson with the Army at Fort. Lewis; and
a sister, Mrs. Mary Jones, Kent and an uncle Calvin Henderson,
Dungeness.

Garden of Communion in Mount Angeles Memorial Park, Port Angeles
(Clallam county), Washington.
Kenneth enlisted at
Tacoma, WA on 18 February 1943. Pvt Henderson was listed as
injured in action on 31 January 1945 and evacuated. He was
transferred to the Detachment of Patients in an unknown hospital on 10
May 1945 and did not return to the regiment.
Pfc Henderson was
discharged on 31 July 1945. |
