Thomas enlisted in the Army at Ft Crook, Nebraska on 15
October 1942 and was assigned to Headquarters 3rd Battalion, 508th.PIR/
Pfc Heun was injured in action on 3 February 1945 and
after hospitalization, returned to the unit on 1 April 1945.
His military awards include the Combat Infantryman Badge
for action during the Ardennes campaign, 18 Dec 1944 to 20 Feb 1945 |
