RICHARD R. HILL

HILL Richard R. (Dick), 64, died Friday in Ponca City. He was born Nov 21, 1922 in & came to OKC in 1979 from California.

He was a contract courier from Martinaire & a member of the Putnam City Baptist Church & WWII army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita of the home; daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Earlene) Bordeaux; 4 grandchildren, Jimmy, Richard, Adam & Jennifer Bordeaux; sister-in-law, Wanda Russell & 1 niece, all of OKC.

Services 10 a.m. Monday, Guardian West Chapel with interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

Richard was a member of Company E and was taken prisoner on D-Day.  He was held as a POW until the second quarter of 1945.

Following his release from Stalag 13B Weiden Bavaria 49-13, he was sent home and arrived in New York City Harbor aboard the USS Admiral W. S. Benson. (see line 46)
