Grave marker of Donald L. Hilliker in the Gilboa Rural Cemetery, Gilboa (Schoharie county), New York.

Donald enlisted in the Army at Oneonta, NY on 1 April 1941.  He was transferred to the 508th, Hq Hq from the 3rd Replacement depot on 16 February 1945. 

His earlier service record is unknown other than the fact that he receive the CIB for action during the Rhineland Campaign, effective 18 February 1945 and that he re-reenlisted on 5 February 1945
