CONRAD D. HOOPER

Greave marker for Conrad D. Hooper in Plot: B 175J of the Memphis National Cemetery, Memphis (Shelby County), Tennessee. Conrad enlisted in the National Guard in Memphis, TN on September 16, 1940.  He was later called up to action and volunteered for parachutist duty   He was assigned to Company F of the 508th and served in the Battle of the Bulge. It is noteworthy that his headstone indicates that he retired as as a 1st Sergeant and also served during Korea and Vietnam.
