HOPKINS, John G. "Birdie" of Boonton, N.J., on Thursday, April 1, 1999. Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Ballard) Hopkins, father of Stephen J. Hopkins of Parsippany, John M. Hopkins of Effort, Pa and Carol A. Hopkins of Denville. Brother of Edwin of Boonton, Charles "Buck" Hopkins in South Carolina, Eileen Maraziti, Dolores Gallagher and Lucille Scerbo, all of Boonton. and the late Gerald and Joseph Hopkins. Funeral services from Lewis and Carey, Directors of Funerals, on Tuesday morning, April 6, at 9 a.m. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Boonton, at 10 a.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton. Friends may call at the funeral home, 312 W. Main St., Boonton, on Monday, April 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (04)
