Grave marker for Walter W. House in Memorial Gardens, Columbus (Lowndes county), Mississippi.

Walter enlisted in the Army at Camp Shelby, MS on 16 October 1943 and only joined the 508th PIR in late 1945 or early 1946.  Pfc House was awarded a good Conduct Medal while serving with Hq 2nd on 29 February 1946.
