Grave marker of Leo Hoynowski in Section: 54, Site: 3715 of Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington (Arlington), Virginia.

Leo enlisted in the Army on 4 October 1943  although the actual location is unknown.

Pfc Hoynowski was wounded in action during the Battle of The Bulge and returned to the U.S. aboard the SS Simcoe Park (see ship manifest).

His military awards included the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device which was awarded for participation in Normandy assault.
