Maxwell C. Hunter enlisted
in the Army at Camp Blanding, FL on 15 November 1943.
Pfc Hunter was transferred
from the 6900 Reinforcement Depot to Company E, 508th PIR on 3 June 1945.
 On
27 May 1947, he was traveling under US Orders (see line 1) and arrived
in New York, NY from Frankfurt, Germany aboard American Overseas
Airlines, Trip Nr 35/26, Aircraft Nr NC-90912.
Following discharge he attended the University of Miami, Florida.
