Grave maker for Joseph R. Hynes in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline (Norfolk county), Massachusetts.

 

Joseph registered for the draft in West Roxbury, MA on 16 October 1940 and was inducted into the Army at Boston, MA on 20 February 1941.

A parachutist volunteer, he was transferred to Service Company, 508th PIR. 

On 18 August 1945T/4 Hynes was transferred in grade to the 513th PIR.
