THOMAS INGUI
Thomas Ingui
   August 29, 2006 Thomas Ingui, 87, of 3 Sgarlata Pl., Canastota, died early Tuesday morning, August 29, 2006, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.
   He was born October 22, 1918, in Queens, the son of Gaspar & Benedicta Pizzo Ingui. He was married to the former Harriett Chapman.
   Mr. Ingui was employed with New York State, for 25 years, as the Director of the Office of Disaster Preparedness, from 1979 to 1984. He was also a Reservist with F.E.M.A.
   He was a Veteran, having served with the U.S. Army, from 1938 to 1958, and served in Korea. He retired as a Captain, and was awarded the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart.
   He was a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elk's, of Oneida Lodge # 767. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Sharon Ann Scheetz, of Riegelville, PA and Bette Jean Ingui, of Fayetteville.
   There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida.
