Lloyd registered for the draft in Plymouth, IN on 16 October 1840 and was inducted into the Army at  Indianapolis, IN; on 24 October 1942 and assigned to Company D, 508th PIR..

Pvt Isaacs was appointed to the rank of Cpl on 8 November 1943.

Cpl Isaacs was evacuated to a field hospital on 26 January 1945 classed as a nom-battle casualty.  He rejoined the company on15 February 1945.

He was discharged on 29 August 1946.

Lloyd succumbed to colon cancer on 20 March 1983.  His remains were cremated, the disposition of his ashes is unknown.
