Robert E. Jeidy

Robert E. Jeidy, 73, Plover [WI], died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at the Portage County Health Care Facility while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Springs United Methodist Community on Plover Springs Drive in Plover, with the Rev. Bill Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Plover Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be at the Shuda/Plover Family Funeral Home in Plover from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the services.

A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established in his name for the Springs United Methodist Community and the Portage County Health Care Center.

Mr. Jeidy was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Grant County, a son of the late Earl and Emma (Eisenhauer) Jeidy.

He served with the U.S. Army paratroopers from 1951 to 1954.

He was married to Susan Braun on March 28, 1964.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Trisha (Scott) Moody, Nekoosa; one son, Ryan (Leanne), Stevens Point; two brothers, Jack, Wauzeka, and Grant (Jorie Hansen), Wind Lake; two sisters, Jean (Bill) Trumm, Blue River, and Bonnie (Thomas) Hiebel, Ballston Lake, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
