Earl registered for the draft in Parkersburg
(Wood), WV on 30 June 1942 and was inducted into the Army at Fort
Thomas, Newport, KY on 1 November 1942 and was assigned to Company
E, 508th PIR.
Pvt Knight was "Discharged or Retired for
Disability, Line of Duty, Yes; Final Result: Blindness, partial, one
eye" on 11 November 1945. |
