John enlisted in the Army at Harrisburg, PA on 25
November 1942, the day before the observance of Thanksgiving.
Pvt Judy was transferred from Camp Toccoa, GA to Hq 3rd, 508th
PIR on 16 December 1942.
His name does not appear on 508th Morning Reports after April, 1943.
Based on his burial card (at left) he must have been transferred and
completed his wartime service in the 503rd PIR.
