Thomas Juzewicz
A Mass for Thomas Juzewicz of Kearny will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephens Church, Kearny. The funeral will be from Wilfred Armitage Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny.
Mr. Juzewicz, who died Thursday in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, was a custodian in the Kearny schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Surviving are his wife, Waltrau; a daughter, Mrs. Heide Marie Webers; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Mikulewicz and Mrs. Stella Mikulewicz, and a grandchild.

Thomas registered for the draft in Harrison, NJ on 30 June
1942 and was inducted into the Army on 31 July 1943.
On 11 October 1945, Pfc Juzewicz was transferred from the 505th PIR to
Company G, 508tgh PIR. The Jersey Journal, Jersey City, NJ, Friday, Apr 19, 1946,
Page:12, listed Pfc Juzewicz as 1 of 591 New Jersey-area troops arriving
from Le Havre, France at Pier 15, Staten Island at 0700 on the SS Texarkana
Victory. All the men were to go to Camp Kilmer, NJ for processing. |
