James V. Kamp enlisted in the Army at Ft McPherson,
Atlanta, GA on 10 May 1944.
On 13 February 1945 Pvt Kamp was transferred to Company E,
508th PIR from the 3rd Replacement Depot
 On
3 January 1946, Pvt Kamp arrived in New York, NY from Southampton,
England aboard SS Queen Mary. He was listed (see line 65) as a
member of Co B, 505th PIR which may be only due to being mingled for
transportation or it could reflect a transfer. |
