JAMES G. KAY

Mr. James "Bud" Kay, age 89, of Douglasville, passed away February 9, 2013. He was born July 10, 1923 in Newman, IL, the son of the late Hobart Kay and Opal Robinson Kay.

Mr. Kay (Ret. Major) proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Upon his retirement he joined the Fulton County Sheriff's Department, where he retired as Assistant Chief Deputy in 1983.

He was a Lifetime Gold Member of Masonic Lodge #95, Spencer. IN. "Bud" was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sink Kay. He is survived by his daughter, Judith Seccuro of McDonough, GA; son, Jerry Kay and wife Linda of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Scott Seccuro and wife Kim, Janet Crawford and husband Marty, Michael Jones and wife Kari and Katherine Kay; great-grandchildren, Samantha Seccuro, Sidney Seccuro, Miranda Crawford.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Rev. Dan McKay will officiate. Entombment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
