GRADY E. KEMP

GRADY KEMP

Grady Edward Kemp, 59, Flat River, died Nov. 9 at Bonne Terre Hospital. He was born at Saco July 14, 1919, a son of the late Harvey and Nancy Kennedy Kemp.
   Surviving are a son, Grady J. Kemp, Arnold; three daughters, Rose . Kemp, Denver, Colo., Sheila (Mrs. Steve) Bess, Festus, and Marcia (Mrs. Larry) Kelly, Perryville; and five grandchildren.
   Mr. Kemp was a World War II veteran.
   Mr. Kemp will be in state at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown at 4 pm.
  .Chapel services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Marcus Memorial Cemetery, Fredericktown.

Grady registered for the draft in Fredericktown, MO on 16 October 1940.and was inducted into the Army on 1 September 1942,

On 13 February 1945, T/5 Grady was transferred from the 3rd Replacement Depot to Company E, 508th PIR.. His rank was changed to Pfc on 20 June 1945.

Pfc Kemp re-enlisted on 10 November 1945 and was discharged on 27 January 1947..
