BARDEN KILGORE WEDDING TOOK PLACE AT GADSDEN
   Miss Christine Barden became the bride or Arthur Kilgore, Jr. last Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock at the home of Warren King of Gadsden, who performed the wedding ceremony.
   The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Barden, Sr. of Jasper Route 4 and an employee of the Mountain Eagle wore an aqua blue suit with black and white accessories.
   The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Kilgore, Sr., of Gadsden, formerly of Jasper. Miss Virginia Hiller of Jasper was present at the ceremony.

Arthur registered for the draft ca.1944 and was inducted into the Army at Gadsden, AL shortly thereafter.,  Pfc Kilgore re-enlisted on 7 December 1945.

PVT. ARTHUR KILGORE
   Pvt. Arthur Kilgore, husband of the former Christine Barden of the Bankhead Farmsteads, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kilgore, Sr., formerly of Jasper, is now stationed at Camp Blanding, Fla., where he will receive basic training in the Infantry. Pvt. Kilgore was employed in Gadsden before entering the service. His wife is now with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Barden, Sr. of the Farmsteads.

PVT. ARTHUR R. KILGORE, JR.
   Pvt. Arthur R. Kilgore, Jr., husband of Mrs. Christine Kilgore, of Russellville, has won the right to wear the "Boots and Wings" of the United States Army Paratroops. He has completed four weeks of jump training during which time he made five jumps, the last a tactical jump at night involving a combat problem on landing.

Arthur re-enlisted and served in Service Company, 508th ARCT from 1951 to 1953.  He retired as a Command Master Sergeant.
