Former Pitman Councilman William C. Kirsch on Dec. 12,
2007, of Glassboro. Formerly of Pitman. Age 72. Beloved husband of 52
years of Margaret M. (nee Sowney). Loving father of Frank Kirsch (Dee),
Barbara Dougherty (Christian), William Kirsch Jr. (Marie) and Leigh Ann
(James). Grandfather of Ron and Matthew Myers, Lauren Haase (Joseph),
Frank Kirsch Jr., Nicholas, Lindsey, Travis, Troy and Nathan Amanatey.
Dear brother of George P. Cossabone (Linda). Also survived by many
nieces and nephews.
William was a graduate of Glassboro High School, Class of 1952. He
attended Drexel University. He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne
during the Korean Conflict.
William coached Pitman Midget Football for 13 years,
was a volunteer EMT for Pitman, a member of Pitman Council for three
years, the former President of Pitman Little League and a Charter Member
of Williamstown Jaycees. William was on the Glassboro Planning Board for
five years and was a member of the Historic Preservation Commission for
two years.
He owned a surveying business for more than 37 years. He had a pilot
license and his own plane and made his 23rd parachute jump on his 70th
birthday. William was an avid Rams and Tigers fan and also enjoyed
hunting, fishing and vacationing at his Poconos home "Windsong." He
especially liked to spend time with his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday evening
7-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-10 a.m. at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown
Rd., Washington Township. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. at St. John's
United Methodist Church, Washington Township. Interment in Hillcrest
Memorial Park, Washington Township.

William's memory to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300,
Marlton, NJ 08053 or St. John's United Methodist Church, 149 Ganttown
Rd., Turnersville, NJ 08012.
