Robert enlisted in the Army at Wilkes Barre, PA on 2
December 1942.
Pvt Kishbaugh made the jump into Normandy and was briefly
reported as missing in action but returned to the company.
Pfc Kishbaugh returned to the U.S. in late 1945 and was
discharged at the Indiantown Gap Military Reservation.

His military decorations include the Bronze Service
Arrowhead device which was awarded for participation in the Normandy
assault.

submitted by Robert on 17 June 1950.
He was credited with 13
months of domestic duty and 22 months of service overseas. His
bonus award was $460, just $40 shy of the maximum.
