ROGER L. KITCHEN

Grave marker for Roger L. Kitchen in Section O of the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows (Warren), New Jersey.

Roger enlisted in the Army at Fort Crook, Nebraska on 7 November 1942. A parachutist volunteer, he was assigned to the Company D, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Sgt Kitchen was wounded in action on 6 June 1944 and received the Purple Heart. He also received the Bronze Service Arrowhead device which was awarded for his participation in Normandy assault
