Thomas Klemlck
LOCKPORT, N.Y. - Thomas H. Klemick, 53, Lockport, a native of Shamokin, died Wednesday morning in Rockwell Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y. He had been ill several months.
Born in Shamokin, October 15, 1918. Mr. Klemlck was a son of the Joseph and Jenny (Misheck)
Klemick, 1110 West Mulberry Street, Shamokin. Mr. Klemlck moved to New York in 1950 and was employed in a paper mill at Lockport. While in Shamokin, Mr.
Klemlck was educated in St. Joseph's School and Coal Township High School, and was a member of St. Joseph's Church.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary Klemlck, Lockport, N.Y.; three sons, Thomas, serving in the United States Air Force in Lackland, Texas; John, and Michael, both at home; one daughter, Mary Helen, at home; the parents; two brothers, Joseph, Shamokin, and Bernard, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Gladys) Reck, Pennsburg, and Mrs. Stanley (Hilda) Klechinski, Trevorton.
Funeral services will be held in Lockport.

Thomas registered for the
draft in Sunbury, PA on 16 October 1940 but was not inducted into the
Army until 24 March 1944.
After completion of basic
training and jump school, Pvt Klemlck left the U.S. on 5 April 1945
bound for the ETO.
On 3 June 1945, he was
transferred from the 6900th Reinforcement Depot to Service Company,
508th PIR.
He re-enlisted on 2 April
1946 and was discharged at Camp Kilmer, NJ on 3 June 1949.
On
24 March 1950, Thomas applied for the Pennsylvania WWII Veterans Bonus./
He was credited with 12 months of domestic duty and 11
months of foreign service and receive $285 as a consequence. |
