JOHN J. KOCHANIEC

Grave marker for John J. Kochaniec in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca (Cattaraugus), New York.

John enlisted in the Army at Buffalo, NY on 18 November, 1942 and was assigned to Hq 3rd, 508th.

Cpl Kochaniec was wounded in action on 8 June 1944 in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for his participation in the Normandy assault.

He was discharged on 1 September 1945.
