Grave marker for Chris A. Konstantine in Section A of the Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville (Greenville county), South Carolina.

Chris, a member of the National Guard, enlisted in the regular Army at Detroit, MI on 15 October 1940,  He was appointed to the rank of Pfc on 27 September 1943.

Initially reported as MIA on 6 June 1944, his status was changed to wounded in action.  He returned to duty with Company B on 13 August 1944.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device which was awarded for participation in Normandy assault,
