THOMAS R. KOSDROSKY

Grave marker for Thomas r. Kosdrosky in Section 16 Plot 234 of the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman (Medina county), Ohio.

John enlisted in the Army on 2 September 1942 at Cleveland, OH.  He was initially assigned to E Company, 508th

Pfc Kosdrosky was wounded on 12 January 1945 during the Battle of The Bulge..  He was evacuated to a field hospital where he remained for at least three months.  He did not return to the unit and may have been sent back to the states for further treatment before being discharged..

He was awarded the Purple Heart as a consequence of that wound..
