CHARLES A. KREBS

Grave markers for Charles A. and Sally S, Krebs in Section 68, Site 4865, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington (Arlington county), Virginia.

Charles entered active duty on 20 December 1940 commissioned as a 2nd Lt.

1st Lt Krebs was transferred from Hq ABC AGF to Hq Hq, 508th PIR on 1 October 1942.  He was appointed to Captain on November 2nd.

On 4 February 1943 he was sent on detached service to the Command General Staff School, Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Capt Krebs was transferred directly from Fort Leavenworth to the Parachute School Pool, Ft Benning, GA on 12 April 43.

Capt Krebs was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and fought at Bastogne   He was wounded at some time in Europe.

Following the war, Major Krebs was an airborne adviser to the Chinese Army and stationed at Nanking.
