GEORGE WESLEY KUEHNLE SR.

JANUARY 13, 2006

George "Wes" Kuehnle age 84 passed away at his home on Friday January 13, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Philadelphia he was a longtime Bedminster and Haycock resident before he moved to Cape Coral, FL.

Wes was the owner and operator of several companies; C.A. Spalding Co. in Phila., Eastern Tool and Engineering Co. in Phila., Southern Tool Co. of Puerto Rico, Lenape Manufacturing in Perkasie, Wetek Manufacturing of Phila. and Spalding Automotive Inc. of Bensalem. Wes also served as past president of the Philadelphia Tool and Die Association.

He was a WWII Army Veteran who served in Western Europe in Company B 508 Paratrooper Regiment 82 Airborne Division and later as a personal guard for General Eisenhower. He was given the title "Honorary Kentucky Colonel" by the Governor of Kentucky and in his youth he earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Peter A.B. Weidner Lodge of Tacony in Philadelphia a past member of the LuLu Temple and a current member of the Araba Temple in Cape Coral, FL. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed golf, history, coin and stamp collecting and genealogy research. He was a past member of the Frankford-Torresdale, LuLu Temple and Shawnee Country Club's and a current member of the Palmetto Pine Country Club in Cape Coral, FL.

Wes is predeceased by his former wife Carmen Luisa Kuehnle. He is the beloved husband of 15 years to Grace M. Feuse - Kuehnle. He will be sadly missed by his children Edwin Kuehnle and his wife Barbara of Lahaska, Dianne Femia and her husband Bill of Easton, Patricia Strain and her husband Russ of Ivyland, Carol DiLorio and her husband Joseph of Quakertown, Javier Kuehnle and his wife Sandra of Philadelphia and G. Wesley Kuehnle Jr. and his wife Crystal of Bedminister. He is also survived by his step-children Frank Ritzheimer and his wife Jill of FL, Linda Guerrero and her husband Gary of AZ, Teri Adams and her husband Sonny also of AZ, and Chris Ritzheimer and his wife Maureen of Doylestown; 28 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Hilda Bispels and 1 sister-in-law Helen Kuehnle both of Phila. and many nieces and nephews.

Wes's life celebration was entrusted to the Leaver Cable Funeral Home, Route 202 and Quarry Road in Buckingham, PA. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in Harrow, PA. His interment followed in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Family requests donations in his memory in lieu of flowers be made to your local Shriners Children's Hospital. www.lifecelebration.com
