Richard LaSasso

   FAIR LAWN Richard LaSasso, 71, of Paramus, formerly of Fair Lawn, died Oct. 5.
   He had owned a trucking company. He attended the Church of the Annunciation, Paramus.
   Surviving are his wife, Jean Merckel LaSasso; three sons, Richard of Oradell, Ronald of Upper Saddle Rver, and George of Paramus, and nine grandchildren.
   Mass was offered Oct. 7 at Annunciation R.C. Church, with burial in George Washington Memorial Park, both in Paramus.

Richard enlisted at New York City, NY; on 8 June 1943.

T/4 LaSasso was transferred from the 51st Reinforcement Battalion to Company C, 508th PIR on 23 April 1945.

MSgt LaSasso arrived in New York City harbor from Le Havre, France aboard the USS Blanche F Sigman on 10 June 1946.
