enlisted in the Army at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX on
21 September 1940.
T/5 Lauderdale was transferred
from the 3rd Replacement Depot to Company E, 508th
PIR on 13 February 1945.
 He
re-enlisted on 15 July 1947 and exactly seven years
later MSgt Lauderdale arrived at Idlewild Airport,
NYC, NY on Flight W-14, Trans Ocean Airlines, from
Rhein Main, Germany with his wife and 2 children
He remained in the Army until
discharged on 31July 1962.
