county), Pennsylvania.
Guy enlisted in the Army at
Camp Shelby, MS on 29 December 1943.
Pvt Lay was transferred to
Service Company, 508th PIR from the 82nd Airborne Division
Headquarters on 3 October 1944.
On 7 January 1945, Pvt Lay was
wounded in action and evacuated to a field hospital. He
did not return to the regiment.
He was discharged on 1
