Harold C.C. Lehman Harold C.C. "Henny" Lehman, 77, of Oak Grove Road, Pine Grove, who served 11 years on Pine Grove Area School Board, died Thursday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born in Pine Grove, Nov. 1, 1924, he was the son of the late George W. and Jennie Mease Lehman.
He was a World War Army veteran with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment and the 82nd Airborne Division. He served in Central Europe and the
Rhineland. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, World War
II Victory Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Presidential Citation and earned two battle stars and one arrow.
He retired after working 40 years with PPL Utilities Inc., was a self-employed farmer
and had driven a school bus |
School District. He was a member of
Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove,
and a life member of Pine Grove
American Legion Post 374, Kittatinny Hunting and Fishing Club and Oak Grove Sportsman Club.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Mary Andresky; two daughters, Colleen Ingalzo, Pine Grove, and Donna Reilly, Jonestown; a son, Harold, Pine Grove; three sisters, Irene Thomas, Arietta Brown and Rachel Salen, all of the Pine Grove area; two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from H.L. Snyder Funeral
Home Inc., Pine Grove. The Rev. James Hammond will
officiate. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap
National Cemetery, Annville.
