DAVID LIEBMANN

Grave marker for David Liebmann in Plot 21, Grave 847, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio (Bexar county), Texas.

David entered the army on 29 July 1943.

2nd Lt. Liebmann was transferred from 82 Airborne Division HQ to Company E, 508th PIR on 20 July 1943.  He was promoted to 1st Lt on 26 October 1944.

1st Lt Liebmann was wounded in action on 29 January 1945 but was able to return to duty 2 days later.  He was wounded a seconds time on 8 February 1945.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart with 1 OLC and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations.
