Lierenz Sr., John W.

Lierenz, John W. Sr. DELMAR John W. Lierenz Sr., 84, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Stratton Veterans Administration Hospital, Albany. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late George and Suzanne Bielz Lierenz.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Div. in World War II. He served in the European Theater and was in the Civil Air Patrol. John was a carpenter for Local 117, Albany for more than 25 years. Mr. Lierenz was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Colonie.

John was the husband of the late Jessalyn Conley and is now the husband of Coleen Hill Lierenz. He is also survived by a son, John W. (Sherri) Lierenz Jr. of Bear, Del.; a daughter, Debra Conley of Delmar; four grandchildren, Melissa Robbins, Ashley Ryan, Jessalyn and Bethany Lierenz; three brothers, four sisters; four stepchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Monday, September 10, 2007, 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, Krumkill Road, Slinger-lands. Relatives and friends are also invited to call Sunday 5 to 8 p.m. at the Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Avenue, Albany. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie.
