TABERNACLE - Wade Livesay, 63, of Sandra Lane, died Saturday in Memorial Hospital of
Burlington County, Mount Holly.
Born in Mount Vernon, Ky., Mr. Livesay lived in Iowa before moving to Tabernacle 11 years ago. Employed as an insurance agent with the Sun Life Insurance Co. of Moorestown, he served the Trenton area.
Retiring in 1975 as a 30-year Army career veteran, he served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam conflict. He earned the Silver Star during tile Vietnam conflict
An ROTC chief instructor in Virginia. he then moved to Iowa as administrator of the ROTC program at the University of Iowa.
Surviving are his wife, Kazuko Mikame Livesay; and three sisters who live in Kentucky.
Private funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Chapel of the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Medford Farms Emergency Squad, Route 206, Vincentown, N.J. 08088.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dennison Funeral Home , 41 Main St., Vincentown .

Wade registered for the draft in
Mt. Vernon, KY on 26
November 1941 and was inducted into the Army on 17
January 1943.
He was discharged on 27 November
1945 but e-enlisted on 8 July 1948.
Spc/3 Livesay was a member of
Company "K” 508 Airborne Infantry, on 25 December
1955.
He married Kazuko Mikame in Fukuoka,
(Fukuoka Prefecture), Japan on 19 August 1957.
she survived him until her passing on 14 January
2020 and was buried by his side. |
