Lauretta Mae Huff daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin E. Huff, 541 North Crestwav, became the
bride of Carp Clifford B Longhofer son of Mr. sad
Mrs. Harry Longhofer, 5209 South Seneca. The ceremony was an event of May 24 at 2 o’clock In the afternoon at the bride’s parents’ home. Rev
Fred B. Paxton, pastor of the Christian church at Independence, Mo. read the double ring marriage vows.
Traditional wedding music was played by -Marilyn Russell at the piano. Orange blossoms and roses framed the background for the wedding party.
Given In marriage by her father the bride wore a white -linen suit with white accessories. Her bouquet was of red roses arranged with long streamers of satin ribbon on a white Bible. Miss Pauline Baker was maid of honor and Pvt Daniel-O 'Brady served as best man. Miss Baker wore a navy crepe suit with navy and white accessories.
A reception at the home followed the ceremony with Mrs. Marietta Parham and
Miss Mlgnon Huff both sisters of the bride serving.
Mrs. Longhofer Is a student nurse at Wesley hospital and Corporal Longhofer is In the 508th airborne' division stationed at Fort
Benning, Ga.
