Grave marker for Lantham E. Latta in
Little River Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Little
River Township (Orange county), North Carolina.
Lantham registered
for the draft in Hillsboro, NC on 13 February 19042
and was inducted into the Army at Fort Bragg, NC on
15 June 1944.
In late 1945 or
early 1946 Lantham was assigned to service Co.
Specific dates are unbeknown as morning reports for
those periods are unavailable. However in
General Order 13 issued on 6 March 1946, he was
awarded a Good conduct Medal.
Lantham was
discharged on 1 January 1960.
 He
married Fannie Eloise Womble in Orange county, NC on
27 July 1946.
