Two significant engravings appear on
the foot of the marker. William was proud of
his profession of Structural Ironworker which
indicates that he helped to erect the structural
steel framework of large buildings.
His second source of pride reads
as "Pfc 508 Parachute Inf., World War II"
William enlisted in the Army at
Allentown, PA on 6 November 1943.
On 17 February 1945 Pvt Lynn was
transferred to Company C, 508thth PIR from the 3rd
Replacement Depot
