HARRY B. MACDONALD

Pennsylvania Record of Burial Place of Veteran for Harry B. MacDonald in Section K, Range 11, Grave 2 of the Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell (Westmoreland county), Pennsylvania.

Harry enlisted in the Army at Pittsburgh, PA on 27 November 1942 and was assigned to Company H, 508th PIR.

Pvt MacDonald jumped into Normandy on 6 June 1944 and was wounded in action on 20 June but was able to rejoin his company 10 days later.

Pfc MacDonald was listed as injured in action in Belgium on 31 January 1945 but was back in action on 2 February.

Pfc MacDonald's military decorations include the Purple Heart and a Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for participation in Normandy beachheads and Airborne operations.
