Jacksonville (Duval county), Florida. Gilbert
enlisted in the Army at Camp Blanding, FL on 25 February 1943 and caught
up with the 508th in England in September, 1944. Due to a variety
of hospitalizations, it is not apparent that he served any combat time. |
