CLEMENT C. MADURA

Grave marker for Clement C. Madura in Section M1 Site 115, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood (Will county), Illinois.  Note that Section M1 has a special designation as described on the bronze plaque show above.  Which aspect of this applies to Mr. Madura is unknown.

Clement enlisted in Army at Chicago, IL on 6 January 1941 and completed jump school before being assigned to a parachute infantry regiment and seeing combat at least in the Ardennes campaign.

on 15 February 1945 Tec/5 Madura was transferred from the 3rd Replacement Depot to Company C, 508th PIR.

His military decorations include the Combat Infantryman Badge awarded for action during the campaign, 18 December 1944 to 20 February 1945.

He was discharged on 28 December 1945.
