BENJAMIN S. MANDEVILLE

Grave marker for Benjamin S. Mandeville in Plot 311, 0, 522 of the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell (Sumter county), Florida.

Benjamin was a native of Kansas and entered service on 10 July 1941.  He was assigned as a 2nd Lt in the Service Company, 508th before being transferred to the Infantry Replacement Training Center at Camp Wheeler, GA on 8 September 1943.  Based on his grave marker inscription he did not advance beyond the grade of 2nd Lt.

Following the war he was an auditor as shown on a December 21, 1951 KLM airlines manifest (see line 15) when he returned from Amsterdam to New York Ciyon flight KL 631.
